Devious Maids: Season 1
For those left feeling empty and with a void in the TV schedule since Desperate Housewives came to an end, comes a brand new show – Devious Maids. The show comes from ABC Studios and shares some of the same writing and directing talent as its predecessor, including Eva Longoria.
Set in Beverly Hills, the show follows some of the city’s wealthiest families and centres around a close-knit group of maids. Season 1 focuses on the murder of a maid, Flora, in true Desperate Housewives-style ‘who done it’. As the season progresses your introduced to a hilarious set of loveable characters each with a unique and slightly clichéd personality as you follow all of the ups and downs and romances.
Devious Maids takes everything we all loved about desperate housewives the drama and cheese and multiplies it tenfold. What Desperate Housewives did over the course of around 22 episodes this show manages to out-do in a mere 13. It’s fast paced, well written, well acted and extremely funny. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat and begging for more.
