Lucifer: Season 1
Based on Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg’s character from the Sandman comic book series comes the TV series ‘Lucifer’. The show focuses on Lucifer Morningstar (the Devil) who is bored and unhappy as the ruler of Hell and takes a vacation to Los Angeles (City of Angels). After a minor celebrity that Lucifer once helped achieve fame is murdered outside his club (Lux) he takes it upon himself to assist Detective Chloe Decker in solving the crime to ensure the perpetrator is punished. He becomes fascinated by Decker after she appears immune to his devilish charms.
This show is extremely good fun and a good laugh at times. Tom Ellis uses all his charm, flirtation and gorgeous good looks (though he has nothing on this site’s editor [thanks Hank, haha]) to play the part of Lucifer brilliantly.
The chemistry between him and Decker really helps make the show the hit that it is. Even the extended cast play their parts brilliantly, the stories are well written and the humour is well delivered. This show really is a good watch and incredibly addictive.
