Conviction: Season 1
Hayley Atwell’s return to TV after the cancelation of Agent Carter brings us ‘Conviction’. This show follows former first daughter and brilliant legal attorney Hayes Morrison played by Atwell. Hayes finds herself blackmailed into leading a unit that investigates cases of wrongful convictions.
Despite the show’s simple set up, it makes for pretty decent TV. Atwell’s energy and her character’s no-bullshit attitude help make the show. Add in the rest of the cast, political back stories and sexual tension and the show really comes into its own. Here’s hoping the network sees as much potential in the show as I do.
